Our approach

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as the standard we design and test this site against.

• Pages use clear headings and landmarks, and a skip link leads straight to the main content.
• Everything can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
• Text and button colors are checked against WCAG contrast minimums.
• Layouts adapt to small screens and to browser zoom.
• Animation is reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Every form field has a visible label, and errors are described in text and announced to screen readers.

Content we do not control

Some links lead to websites run by other organizations, such as the National Archives, the Library of Congress, the National Constitution Center, and United States government election sites. When online giving opens, contributions will be made on ActBlue. We cannot control the accessibility of those sites.
